sorry this isnt a cheerful, post but rather the opposite.
Today was Holocaust Remembrance Day. I still wonder what happend to my family during this time. It's a mystery, that I have always wanted to find the answer to. No one really talks, or knows about the story of my letters in German, or what happend to our family members. All I know is some of the family members escaped in time and some did not. Ive always dreamed that if some of the family stayed in Germany, they were the good guys. The ones who believed in peace with no prejudice or racisim. Those who would pray for the war to be over, the ones who would help Anyone in need. And then i think of the horrific side. Since the day at Dachau Concentration Camp, I find Even Harder to think of how people could have lived in such terror. I wish I could have had enough time to look though their books of the names of those who were forced to attend. Maybe I'd have some answers to my repeated questions.
Above all, this is the day to remember those who suffered. We must all understand what an evil time it was in history, and hope to never have this occur again. Let us try to make the World more peaceful.
